Fire and Ice Studio C.D.C.P.A. is located in the culturally diverse Crenshaw District of Los Angeles, California. The socioeconomic structure of this community, makes it difficult for many of the children and young adults living here, to financially afford to participate in after school programs, that might enhance their ability to be involved in productive activities. Many of our Fire and Ice children are from single family and foster homes. We offer additional assistance to children and adults with disabilities and special needs. Funding for scholarships and tuition assistance will help keep the doors open for this program, and will certainly make a difference in their lives.
Our Mission:
•To identify and serve gifted, dedicated, at-risk minority students, in order to allow them to challenge their passion for the arts, in an effort to help them fulfill their life dreams.
•To provide an after school out reach program, that introduces children to dance, acting, art, music and modeling, as a means of increasing self esteem, confidence and discipline.
•To foster young talent by offering paid apprenticeships to those who may not be able to attend other more expensive programs of this nature.
•To focus on students from single family, foster and group homes, in an effort to curve possible gang affiliation and violence, by allowing them opportunities to explore positive self expression, through dance and the arts .
